✅ NLP Practitioner Certificate & New Job: Sr. BDR @ FreshworksThe last few months have been very interesting in terms of personal development. I decided to enroll myself for a course in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). Today I can proudly share with you that I achieved my NLP Practitioner certificate! 🥳They say that NLP is a verb, which means that you learn it by doing. The skills vary from understanding how the brain is programmed, to what different communication styles there are, how to manage emotional states, how to improve your communication with other people, and more. Did you know that you can leverage NLP skills in sales? Talking about sales, I started as a Senior Business Development Representative yesterday at Freshworks. I am planning to read more into NLP in combination with sales to improve the quality of my conversations. If you have tips in terms of books, podcasts or YouTube channels, please let me know! What is Freshworks all about? It is a SAAS company that provides various software solutions for companies to support them with Customer Experience, Sales and Marketing, IT Service Management, and HR Management. Minimaal 50 medewerkers zitten er in de zaal. Allemaal willen ze meepraten over de nieuwe cao van The Learning Network. Normaal gesproken is dit een bijeenkomst voor alleen vakbondsleden. Dit maal is iedereen welkom. We gebruiken het dan ook als een sessie om te sparren. De leden bepalen de uiteindelijke inzet en prioriteiten.Het blijft stil voordat het loskomt. Opeens gaan er allemaal vingers omhoog. Wat een mooie input hebben Janneke Wiersema en ik gekregen. En wat mooi dat iedereen een gevoel heeft gekregen bij de inspraak die je kunt hebben op je eigen arbeidsvoorwaarden.Het bracht zelfs verwarring; ‘normaal gesproken komt de vakbond met een lijstje van onderhandelingspunten. Waar zijn deze?’ Uiteraard hebben wij wel van tevoren nagedacht en hebben onze leden al input mogen geven. Het is alleen wel deze verwarring die mij doet beseffen, dat we de vakbond nóg meer terug mogen brengen bij de medewerkers. Zo ook de bewustwording: de leden bepalen de inzet en de sterkte van de achterban, en wij doen het woord. Zo’n goed bezochte cao bijeenkomst is toch echt gaaf! De vakbond leeft. Nu benieuwd hoeveel nieuwe leden het heeft opgeleverd. Want hoe meer leden en solidariteit onder hen, hoe meer kracht de door hen ingebrachte punten zullen hebben aan de onderhandelingstafel. Overigens ben ik dankbaar dat Arie Kasper ons ondersteunt in de cao onderhandelingen. Nog even en hij gaat met pensioen. Mooi om van hem nog even wat fijne kneepjes van het vak te leren💪🏻. #cao #cnvvakmensen #cgmv #thelearningnetwork
